What's the difference between normal plating and PVD?

Commonplace electroplating deposits a thin layer of gold on top of the surface of the base metal. This process can be prone to flaking and signs of wear over time. Definitely not ideal.

PVD-plating bonds real gold at the molecular level to our stainless steel jewelry. This offers superior durability, longevity and is considered a more environmentally friendly process too!

No. Our jewelry is made from 316L stainless steel, aka surgical stainless steel, possessing a high resistance to discoloration. We avoid using metals such as brass, copper, and bronze, all of which are known to cause such a reaction.

Yes. With this in mind, 316L (surgical) stainless steel does contain a very small percentage of nickel. It is still considered hypoallergenic due to its low nickel content, but we do want to be upfront for those with severe sensitivity to nickel.

All our jewelry has been personally worn and tested through sweaty workouts, showers and sleep to confirm no adverse skin reactions to our products occur.

If your jewelry becomes dirty, use warm water and mild soap to clean it. Dry with a soft cloth.

Try to avoid scratching against other hard surfaces and exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals or cleansers.

We do not offer custom engraving at this time.
